I took the truck and moved my boat about a 150 ft. from my boat shed to the front of my shop to do a little work on it.......big dummy, I did not think I needed to hook the safety chains as I was not going to be on the highway. Bad mistake. I got through working on the boat and was going back to the boat shed with it and I did not have the hitch latched down good and it came off of the ball. Like a dummy I jumped put of the truck and ran to try to catch it and pulled a muscle in my leg and I can hardly walk now. Anyway the boat went about 75 ft and the foot of the motor hit the entance door on my shop. It broke my transom saver, broke my stabilizer off of the cavitation plate and the prop cut three nice holes in my metal shop door as well as bent the door up bad. The skeg cut a nice gash in the door as well. Now I am hobbleing around on a bad leg....cannot get the door open to get in the shop. I cannot pry the lock thing over because we bolted a piece of steel to prevent theft and welded the dadgummed nuts. I cannot open the overhead doors because they are secured on the inside for security. So I cannot get in the shop to get a jack to pick the fron tof the boat trailer up so I can swing the trailer jack down. Dang, I am having fun. The good news is my stainless steel prop does not look bent and I think the shaft is OK because it turns free and easy and does not appear to have any wobble. Anyhow....I am gonna cool off and then see what I can do next.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Dang G I am glad its no worse. I did the same thing at Enid a few years ago. I was backing the boat in next to my camper and did not lock it down. I hit a hole backing in and it came loose. My neighbor saw it rolling down hill fast and threw a log in its path and was enough to stop it. Otherwise boat and trailer would have been in Jones Creek.

Sorry to hear that, G! If I lived nearby I'd bring over a jack for you. Take care. Apply heat and then alternate with cold on that muscle strain.
g3, good thing no one was hurt...........stuff can be replaced or fixed.
I'm going to refrain from taking advantage of you in your time of woe.
For today. Friday, you're toast.
Glad you didn't get any more hurt than a pulled muscle. Crap can be fixed. They quit making spare parts for you a long time ago though.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
Sorry to hear that, at least no one was hurt seriously. It kinda makes you want to kick something with the leg that aint hurting.
Sorry to hear that G. Boy, some folks would do anything to get out of fishing a FJ Tourny.
