WOWWWW. Most of us have had to do it, well, some of us anyways. I hadn't until yesterday though. Guess I'm in THE CLUB now LOL When I was trolling around Ross Barnett yesterday, I had AN URGE set upon me, one that I thought I could handle with no problem. I'd blocked that urge a many time in the past but not this day. I eased past the 2 big stumps and was following the old river channel, trolling for crappie and maybe even a striper. 4 poles out with cranks attached and really enjoying the lake. I trolled past a hump, 10 foot deep with a steep ledge to 32 Foot of water and BAMMM, back left rod went off on me. Started reeling it in and MAN YEH, 14 1/2 to 15 inch crappie came to the surface as I reeled it in. I'm thinking I'll get on 'em today, gonna be a good one. Get the rod back out and look towards my Striper trolling spot. CRAP, there's a boat already on my spot. Oh well, I'll run down the ledge side the first run and see whats up. OHHHHH, Dang Cramp, OK, Breathe deeply and relax but not to relaxed. WHEWWWW, went away, I'll be fine now. Back right rod goes off, MAN YEH, here we go, got another one. CRAP, Catfish, bout a 1/2 pound. I reel him in and chunk it back, then commence to cleaning the slime off my hands and my line above the Crankbait and get it back out. I get within about 100 yards of that boat again and see he's turning abit and then OHHHHHH, bend over double with a cramp. AW MAN, this ain't good and I go into panic mode, thinking about what to do. I have 4 poles out, 2, 5 gallon buckets out the back, NO TP and another boat is turning in my direction. If I plan on heading to the bank to find me a spot, I ain't got that much time and I figure that by picking up those 5 gallon buckets full of lake water will cause more harm that good n my aching body right now. I do the only thing I can do, I hit the throttle abit and HOPE that boat ends up going the other way. We got side by side and waved at one another but I'm sure they were looking at me funny as I was standing there, bent forward abit, holding my tummy with one hand and trying to wave with the other one. WHEWWW, they're not turning, their heading back down the channel, I might be OK. OHHHHHH, Man, I got to get somewhere and get there fast. I reved her up even more to the tune of 8 MPG with 2, 5 gallon buckets and 4 rods out but I didn't care, I HAD to get a safe distance away from them and out of their site. I can't go into any more details on here but lets just say that rail on the side of my boat does not make a good seat. LOL
