PD and Terrova TM Mounting

Been noticing some pic on here showing how folks have their TMs mounted. Mainly PD and Terrova. When mounted on the bow of the boat in the stowed pos. quite a bit of the TM is outside the boat.Having been a user of the PD for about 12 years i learned the hard way you dont want any part of the tm to extend past the front of the boat in the stored pos. Reason being the first time you hit some thing there goes a prop, fin or a plastic side housing. Minn Kota makes a retractable mount.East to install and well worth the bucks. Cabelas has em. Just thought i would throw this in incase you all didnt know about it.

Thanks Mr. Jim, just ordered a Terrova a few minutes ago and didn't know about that mount.
