    Unhappy I'm a real klutz

A month or so ago I bought a Hummingbird 998 and know nothing about installing one. With that amount of dollars spent, I want it right. Got some suggestions on a good marina to have do it. Well, drove 50 miles to St. Bernard Parish in LA and dropped it off 3 weeks ago at TIM"S MARINE. Called yesterday to see how it was going and was told it would take at least another 2 weeks. He had too many BIG jobs to get to before me, and since he had never installed a side imaging unit he wouldn't guarantee it would work anyway. Needless to say I drove down and picked the boat up today. Back to square one. I live in Picayune, so I'm away from most of the action. I have a 2003 Nirto 270 LX with a Mercury 75. He told me he thought the boat was too small to put that kinda unit on. Help!!!! I wouldn't mind driving a ways to get this done. HHHHEEEELLLLLPPPP!!!!

Default It's so EASY, I can do it

Course just be careful and not mount the transducer upside down. LOL The instructions are in the package and if you'll go back a few months, Sat posted pics on whats things are supposed to look like when complete. It's really easy except the whole drilling holes in the boat things kinda makes ya nervious

I'm your huckleberry. And I work relatively cheap.....for the mere cost of a buffet, I can be had. Plus, we can even try it out on world famous Grenada lake when we're done. I'm sure Bigger won't mind letting us follow him around for the day.

    Holla.

I just may take you up on it. 6 hour drive and everything. I don't eat buffets so you going to have to sit down for a served meal. As far as following bigger. Going to try and make a deal with him on a trip next spring. Got some Secret Weapon crankbaits for him that ain't quite ready. Let me talk with the powers that rule before I say ye. I'm having a hard time dealing with the heat, so it would have to be a early or late trip to the lake. Remember I'm a transplant from North Missouri and old on top of that.

By the way....Val Kilmer played a GREAT Doc Holliday, huckleberry

The offer stands iffen ya want to come up. That said, DD can handle it for ya and his warranty is excellent - Either you'll be satisfied or he'll pay you twice the price for the unit. Hard to beat that. Just bring some dielectric grease with you if DD does it, cause he won't have any.
