went to enid with my son and daughter......as we were leaving, here comes a park ranger boat pulling up to us. first thing he said was "where are your life jackets?" i was fishing out of my 1648 wareagle, so i told him it was a 16 ft. boat. naturally, he did not believe me, so i told him he's welcome to look at the registration card. when we settled that, he asked if we had a fire extinguisher, and i said no. throwable? i said no. horn? i said no. he said we had to have all these on a 16 ft. boat, and he asked if i would correct these problems. to avoid further arguing, i just said yes. i thought all these applied to boats OVER 16 ft. help?
Yep 16 and over
Stick yo jig in there!
sorry bud but it is 16 and over
Unlike the fish size limit!!!!!!![]()
Stick yo jig in there!
it is whatever is convenient to them I reckon bigger
I got all of it when I had my 16' boat, just to be safe.

Duck you lucky you didn't get a hand full of tickets!!!
I'm sorry, but what's the big deal. Spend $30 and get you boat up to par. Common scense should tell you that these thing surely couldn't hurt to have. You know, things can happen on the water, even if you've done it for 50 years.

thanks for the advice..........but it's not the money. ive had this boat for 15 yrs, and was never asked for these things. i don't have storage in the boat, and these things will just have to be tossed in. i do have common (sense, sp.) and i will get these items.
p.s. by the way, i have a 20 ft. bass boat, and it is fully equipped with all items, and more.
