I found it a cabalas.com but I don't like the idea of having to pull a cable to let the trolling plate down. Going to see if I can re-engineer a stabilizer to go with the trolling plate I already have.

Now thats an idea. How does the trolling plate that you have now work? What raises it up and down? Prop wash?
Yep. The force of the boat speed just pushes it up.
My thinking is like yours Maj....I would like that better also.
