Default Side by side Seat Pedastal

Looking to set up my Ranger for trolling.

Have y'all seen those after market pedastals where you can use a single hole on your deck and attach twwo eats to it?

Are these any good? Where is their website?

best option IMO is to drill and mount 2 extra seat bases up front, I have seen the Add A Seat and some like it but majority of people I know that have used it HATED IT. In my old rig I had a never tite and never locked (tite lock) rig and it was ok but it kept me from axcessing my storage boxes. If it was me I would do what others did(and what my new rig will be) and thats jsut to drill hole in the deck and mount the 2 extra bases up there

Do they need support other than the decking under them? On my boat, there is a metal beam supporting the deck right under where the seat mount is.

I have the seat you are refering to in my Tracker and LOVE IT. Only need the original pedistal hole and it works fine. If you want to go back to a single seat, just take out the double and put in the single. Really simple..

Default That is a nice setup you have Sat

I've got the add-a-seat and the only problem with it is you'll slide forward at times when the waves are kicking it hard. Not really much hastle but just aggravating at time when you have to slide yourself back into position on occasion

If you'd have glued a rubber bumper down like I told you to in the first place, you wouldn't have that problem.

Duck, Hi-Tek - Callshy - Scott Echols makes a double seat rig that goes over the existing pedestal that looks pretty slick. You might PM him and ask him about it.

    Here's a Link.

Dangit, I thought that had a pic of Scott's design. I know it's out there somewhere. Looked at it yesterday. I'll post it if I find it.

The Add-A-Seat guys are out of business according to some, but someone mentiioned they pulled it from the market and are introducing a redesign in August or July. Not sure what the truth is.
