    Default Best Crappie boat


    Fixing to dive back in and need some advice. Want an all aluminum 16 or 17 ft. Had a 16 1/2 polarcraft rigged out totally for crappie fishing then....divorce!!!! Had to sell it. I am now able to purchase another one and just wanting to get ideas on best for crappie fishing. Any help appreciated. Located in Central Ms so I rekon Duncan Marine is closest dealer.

    For me it is anything welded that is over 16' with a low deck and the biggest motor the boat will allow. It really depends on how and where you fish the most.

    I use a Tracker Pro Team 175 and love it. Run a 75 Merc and has plenty of room for two on the front for Trollin.

    I have 97 Pro Team 17 with a 75 on it and love it bought it new and still does any thing i want to do. Been rode hard and put away wet.

    Like the 175 cause of the deeper V, show does ride good on rough water.

    Lots of things to consider.....what your going to pull it with, what type crappie fishing your gonna do. what type water your gonna fish, what your buget is, etc. etc. Since you previously owned a boat you should have a idea what you like and don't like...just go from there.
