Default Looking for a new trolling motor

I know this here forum has a classified section, but I dont want to deal with someone from way off.

Does anybody around MS have a used decent 12v trolling motor for sale decently priced? I wish i had a place for a 24v, but we hunt "THE river" and an oversized fuel tank takes up most of my storage space. My motorguide has about bit the dust. Figured yall hustlers may have an old 12v sitting around. Let me know what you got. Thanks.

Dude here at work took a brand spanking new 12V MG 45# off his boat last week and replaced it with a hand control. Been in the water maybe 10 times. Said he paid $380 for it, but didn't say what he wanted for it. If you're looking on the cheap, that might not do it for ya, but if you want new at a good price it might work. Let me know and I'll see how much he wants.

I have a couple older power drives if you might be interested in one of them.

Cant really decide. I do everything with my boat. Bow fish, bass fish, crappie fish, even take it to the marsh and get on some specs and reds now and then. I like a hand control for just about everything, but not sure how it would do jig fishing with 2 poles or with trolling with 4 up front in a holder. If anybody know anything about that, I'd like to know. I hand control sure would free up some deck space and be easier when I'm doing everything else. What you got Sat?

It's a Motorguide 45# 36" 12 V Foot Controlled. Really is brand new and has warranty left. Think he bought it in the fall last year. He's looking for $290 for it.

If you do all that with your boat and like the Foot Control, why not mount it on a quick release bracket and take it off when it's gonna be in your way.

Let me know on that motor. I'll be at Enid weekend after this one and I can bring it to you up there or send it back with Sat/Torch if they're closer. It's already removed and just sitting in his garage at the moment.

Aight lemme think on it and I'll let you know.

No I dont want to remove it. What I was saying is that when I am fishing for everything else, I prefer and hand controlled. The leads and the pedal on the foot control get in the way. I have to have a TM.

My son took one off his boat and put it up and I think Torch knows where it is , I will see if he wants to get rid of it. It is a 40 lb thrust foot control that is in good shape.
