My first experince with free healthcare today

Just got back from the doc in Oxford.

First thing I said when he walked in was "sure wished we'd have put it off till this week so it would have been free". He didn't get it and kind of looked at me all puzzled. I then said "You know, on account of the free healthcare bill they passed last Sunday". He hemmed and hawed around trying to figure out what I was talking about for a second and then said, "Oh yeah, well, I'm not so sure about that".

Sheesh. Good thing he's a doc, cause he wouldn't make it in the real world.

Anywho - The joker yanked the steri-strips off, said looks good, and kicked me out. All in the span of about 3 minutes. And I got lucky. They only made me wait 24 minutes to see him this time. He said looks good, just lay off lifting anything over 10 lbs at a time for the next week. Then nothing extra heavy for the next couple of months to prevent a hernia. On my way out I told him no problem, I don't plan on catching a Crappie over 5 pounds and if I do, I promise not to carry more than one at a time. He didn't get that one either.

Odd thought I had on the way out. I got a total of about 18 minutes of face time total with that dude. He spent more time looking at my insides than he did at my face. Bet I could pass him in Dollar General 2 days from now and he wouldn't have a clue who I was.....yet, I prolly just added a few grand to his Christmas this year.

Did I mention I don't like docs? About the most arrogant, self absorbed, over pretentious gewbers out there and most have zero financial sense and even less common sense. Yeah, I know.....I can't get along with 'em on account of me being so much like 'em. Pffft, stole your thunder.

Glad you got a good report WB.....and it will take a good many of those quarter lb. fish ( and thats stretching it) that you catch to exceed the Doc's weight limit. :D

Don;t think ya got to worry bout the 5 lb crappie. Bet you can take all of 'em you catch for the next month and they won't add up to 5 lbs :D:D

Ya'll know the worst part of this surgery? The cut he put on my belly button. I used to have a purty belly button. Now it's only so-so.

let's see, wb, not lift anything over 10 lbs...........say at 1.5 lbs a crappie, that's 7 crappie to get to 10 lbs........so, i think you're safe.....just saying so you won't worry.....
