    Default Pro Angler Crappie rods

Anybody use the Pro Angler crappie rods? I looked at their website
and the product "looks" good and it has a good price.
    Your opinion would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Joey, if you are talking about the B&M brand, I can vouch for them. I have 4 pro trollers, 1 jig pole, and 1 ultra light. I like them all for different purposes.

Actually there is a brand called pro angler tackle rods:

    Pro Angler Tackle Rods

They talked about them on a texas fishing forum that I saw-they
actually gave them good reviews. Its just that I never heard of them
before and was a bit hesitant.

Great rods. I own 4. Mine are the old style with foam grips.
Ed is a great guy to do business with.

They look good and the price is right. I wonder if they are strong enough to pull crankbaits with?

I've been using Pro Anglers for several years. Much of my fishing is vertical jigging in deep timber so I like to use baitcasting reels. The Pro Angler has low profile two footed first eyelets that work really well with baitcasters. I like seeing the line going straight to my reel without riding up and over a single footed eyelet. Not a big deal but I believe I get less abrasion and better feel. With most crappie rods the first eyelet is single footed and designed primarily for spinning reels. They also have stainless steel inserts. Many other rods have aluminum. Nothing wrong with that I just prefer stainless. I also prefer cork handles for vertical jigging which aren't available in all rods. You can get either with PA. They are only available in 8 and 10ft so they are not necessarily the best choice for spider rigging but for vertical jigging they are hands down my favorite.
