Default Buying a hand gun in MS

What is involved in buying a hand gun here in MS now, been a while as you can tell. Buying local and/or on-line. Thinking I want to get an inexpensive 22LR revolver just for plinking. Some thing along this line.

Wish I could afford this one, but I'm saving up for a color DF for the TM too.

Steve, I have a H & R double action 9 round 22lr that I've had for over 40 yrs. A very nice plinker and was very inexpensive. Haven't looked at them in years but probably still is.

BTW you can find tons of info on guns at SIGforum.com --A discussion forum for SIG enthusiasts. Also check out the state wildlife forum, they have a classified section on it.

I was just down visiting my fishing buddy and he showed me his SS Ruger 22/45 4" barrel that he bought some time ago, he also bought a blued one for $45 at the same time but sold it later, that tells you how old the 22/45 is, man I liked that gun, may have to rethink getting a revolver. He seem to think all you had to do was fill out some paper work, pay for your gun and go, locally that is. Will check that site.

Yep, exactly what feelay said...I have bought 4 or 5 in the last year and they (gun dealer) will take your ID, get you to fill out the yellow form, make a phone call, take your money, and BAM, you walk out with a gun.

If you have a concealed carry permit, the dealer can let you have it and go without waiting. He will do the paperwork and make the phone call later.

Jeep, that's a very nice pistol. However, the origional question was a good gun, at a low price. Ruger is good, I've had one, shot good. Remember, price is important.
