They look nice, even in the back ground. I had a non-working national and a guy came along and wanted it because it was in an old add with a Johnson transmitter. He wanted to duplicate the add pic and already had the transmitter. I still have a HQ129X....somewhere.

Yep....I think those rod holders are the cats meow! :) They are really sturdy and well made. Scott does a good job buiding those.
You're about set up with everything a guy would need. New Hiteks and some oooooooold electronics. I used the 129x when I was younger. It would drift more that a crappie fisherman with a motor failure:eek:

Are they pre-war or post war? Hallicrafters played a large part in National Defense during WWII. It's a shame they were pushed out by Japanese competition after the war.Quote:

Well...It worked on Wannabes G3 boat and it worked on mine. The local G3 boat dealer also does that all the time. So I kinda think is strong enough. :)Quote:
