I have a 2002 G3 Pro 165, and I dont like the double seat I have now. Right now I have a bracket made by Tite Lock and its great and all but with it up there I can't access my storage compartment on front deck. I was wondering if anyone had a G3 liek me and if the had tried to mount (2) seat bases up front? I thought about doing it, but Im a little hesitant to b/c Im not sure if the proper braceing is there or not.

Duck, I have a 2006 G3 Eagle 185...... I am going to be adding two bases to the front pretty soon. I plan on putting them in line with the one that is already up there. I would think that if the center is strong enough that directly to the sides of that would be stong enough also. I will take the liners out of my storage compartments before I do it so I can take a look to be sure. Then if everything looks ok...I will use bolts and nuts and washers to mount my bases instead of screws.

Here ya go Duck. I forgot you had the carpeted version of the G-3, but the principal should be the same. I'm betting the area forward of your and G-3s storage area will be filled with foam and if it's like mine there will be a brace from top to bottom preventing access to the underside of the deck. My only option for bolting would have been to hole saw that brace and dig out insulation. Neither of which looked fun.
I ended up just screwing them down and chasing with 3M 5200. So far, they're holding up as if they were bolted.

Thanks for the info and the pics WB....I bet my boat is the same way.

No drilling into the boat. Then I can either fish the center or either side of the boat plus when I have someone up front with me, we ca adjust how far apart we are. If it's cold, Nessa and I can get right up on each other and stay warm but if one of us farts, we can move away from the other . LOL

I'll have to check, but it's wider than most. Maybe I can remember to do it when I get home tonight or at lunch. Either way, I'll let you know.

OK great...just doing some figuring here. Your seats look like they are close to the side of the boat.....thats kinda what I am thinking mine will have to be to have enough room for the seats to turn a little. My boat is wide but that front deck on mine is long and it gets kinda narrow right along where my seat is.

Thanks guys, I will have to think about it some more though.
WB mine looks real similar to that, so if I do it I think I will have to do it like you did
