    Default Yamaha lower unit

Allright, I finally broke down and changed my LU oil yesterday. It's been a little over 2 years, well actually, it's the first time it's been changed, was a new motor. Oil looked good, no water. There was a good bit of metal on the magnetic plug. I know some metal is supposed to be normal, but how much is too much?

Small filings are OK. It almost paste like. Filings or shavings are bad.

I clened it with my fingers and rubbed it between my finger tips and couldn't feel anything but oil, so that would be ok?

Worked good for me, but made a mess when I pulled the adapter.
