You mean the report said they are already present in Lake Michigan now, or they are worried that they will be soon?

talking about an invasion of asian carp in lake michigan. they said it would virtually destroy the greatest fishery system in north america if the carp were to invade the great lakes system. they are gonna do a fish kill in the tens of thousands to determine the extent of the asian carp population.

Maybe with this threat someone will find a way that they can be killed without harming any other existing game fish. This may be the WAKE UP call they have been needing to start getting something done.

Doubt it Sat, it's destroyed or destroying so many acres of water that they've already been woken, wakened, er um. come to, but they don't have a solution for removing it. That's the bad part. Once there, they're there.

I like Torch's idea! We need anaother hunting season in the mix, say maybe in August
they said that they are very prolific breeders and will overtake a lake in a short time. i think they said something about using a chemical to make them not breed, but i may be wrong.

We have already lost some darn good holes because of them things. Would hate to see them get into any of the coe lakes.

They are not sure if the carp got past the TWO elec. barriers, but they found some DNA of the carps past the barriers, they were talking about turning up the voltage a notch. I don't fish the rivers up here but i've heard these carp launch themselves in the wakes of boats & some have been injured by these fish landing in the boats. they might have made it to L.M. hopfully not enough to breed. poisining is their next option. last i read they were going to shut down all traffic for a week & poision part of the system
