I'm wanting a cheap (as in dollar amt) fish finder to put on ole red's john boat....We dont need anything fancy just something to see sets, drop offs and depth,,,,and maybe a fish or two....Just something basic that works,,,I would even take one of mr electonics throw backs that works,,,since he always has to have the best,,,lol....Just let me know what you think

I think Hbird makes a Pirahna that sells for $79 that would probably fit the bill. It won't be much for looking for anything other than the bottom and drop offs though.

I'd ship you a hand me down, but I'm down 2 units at the moment.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

    PiranahMax 150

    Eagle FishEasy 245DS Fishfinder

    Lowrance X50DS 83/200 Khz Sonar

Course, if you're wanting something better than the bare minimum, get you an Eagle 320 for $150 and be done with it.

I'll vouch for the Eagle 320. Not a bad unit for the money.
