    Default Trolling motor repair help


    Got problems with my trolling motor.Where do i take it around Jackson and get it repaired in a day or 2?? Prop Shop is good, but its usually a 2 weeek wait. Need it ready by Thursday this week.

    its the switch on the foot controlled part i think. was going from fast to slow, then after a while completely went out.

    if its the foot switch you can fix it yourself pretty fast. you can get parts next day online from trllingmotordr.com

    I took my switch out on my last trolling motor and thought it looked like a dimmer switch like was used in trucks years ago, located on the corner of the floorboard near your pedals.If yours is that style, round, go to local auto parts store and get one.They like 8 bucks and you will be back in business in a few minutes.Yours may be different, I dont know.

    on minn kota the wire on the back of the switch wears down over time and can short out and make the switch not work, in my experience.

    I worked in my switch for a week one tome and it didnt fix it......check the connectiond on yo plug, Itll save alot of heartache.
    Stick yo jig in there!
