Pescatore, after reading your story it reminded me of my father. We dont get along for reasons I wont go into detail about but he lives 26 miles away and I see him on christmas and thanksgiving and possibly 2 other times throughout the year. Seems to me were made of the same mold my dad and me cause neither of us will give an inch of that 26 miles. I havent seen or talked to him since july, think ill travel that long 26 mile journey tomorrow and see what happens. Probally like july but we'll see.

Mom said I was "just like him".Dad was always conservative.I out of high school had liberal ideas.Water and oil.I never fueled the fire, but he also never passed up the chance to correct me when I was talking out of my @#$.He said it was ok because I would be a LW nut till I had children.HUH HUH was he ever RIGHT!The little people showed up,and I had to reevaluate my moral code.Things go in circles.I now have a 13 year old who we are trying to instill God,Family, and Country(in that order)into his fabric. He always said they HAVE to be in that order...he was right.Dad died 5 years ago,and if he were here,it would make my job so much easier, because of the bond between the two.I hope everyone can heal their father/son relationships, swallow some pride, cause time does heal.Mine did,and I would trade almost anything just to spend one more day with the man. Peace out
