Default Really tired of the Gooberment, NOT POLITICAL

One would think that having been around the Govt. my whole life, I would be used to the Game of Hurry-up-and-wait...
my first 19 yrs of life was being the dependent of a Marine...Semper Fi. Then the next 16+ ears was active Duty in the Army. After that, it's been dealing with them, the VA, and the rest of the Gooberment. Well, I haven't, and it still gets me hot under the collar dealing with them...
It only took from 1978 till 2024 to get my knee taken care of, meaning a full knee replacement by the time they got to it. Way to long. And I'm not done there with it as I had to submit paperwork to up my pension from 70% to 100%, be it only temporary, up to a year. For the life of me, I'll never reason why, these folks act like the money comes out of their pockets...For the first week, it went from one step to the other, reaching step 5 of 8, where it's sat for, today makes 38 days, no movement. This isn't rocket science, the book says knee replacement, hip replacement, service connected, automatic 100% disability, not to exceed 1 year. I am at a loss here...
Oh yea, don't get me started on the Camp Lejuene water settlement, and 3 plus years waiting on that since filed...Sometimes, a real good scream just isn't enough!!!! OK. Rant over for now.
Moderators, if this isn't allowed, or not in the right place, Please do what needs done. Thanks.

This isn't the way anyone should be treated. It's kinda like owing the govt. Money...Man, they take every penny you got coming till they're paid in full and I mean right now. But let them owe you money and see how long it takes them to pay. Prime example, back in 1992, Post military draw down. 80,000 troops were put on the street due to the Democrats wanting to reduce the military, and number of bases...The soldiers were offered what they were told was a bonus to get out early, called it severance pay. OK, that's nice of them right. But wait till you apply and get approved for VA Disability. EVERY penny they gave you in "Severance Pay" is taken back out of your Disability check before you got a dime. Claimed if they didn't take your Severance pay back, you would be "Double Dipping" the Gooberment...WTF is that all about???

Hopefully some of this is fixed soon. I have a good feeling about things changing soon. Sorry for your troubles, veterans should never have to deal with this stuff.

I don't want anyone to think I'm crying, as I'm not. Just Bone tired of the buricratical Malarkey we all have to endure, at one time or another...My woes are primarily Federal, but lord, the states Govt.'s are just as bad...

Well, which to believe... VA Claims tracker on Line says AVERAGE time line on claims being settled is 146+ days from date of filing, yet the person answering the phone at the VA Office in St. Louis says, due to the work load, they truly have no Idea how long it's gonna take...Mean while, back at the trailer park....

Man, I am already checking the progress of mine daily on line, and call at least once a week. Don't get no different answer, but by golly, someone's gonna know I'm stayin' on top of it. I go outta my way being nice on the phone to them, but I am only a couple hours down the road....

Called during the early morning hours on Thursday(8Am), and a young woman informed me, that they had my claim, it was awaiting a decision on a rating??? Total knee replacement surgery is automatic TEMPORARY 100% Disability. She assured me, that everything needed was in fact there, but hadn't been looked at due to case loads...??? So, Just like my original claim, and apparently Buckeye Crappies, it is setting in a dead file on someone's desk. Well, one thing I know, it's money in the bank, as when it's approved, payment goes back to the date of my operation, in this case, is 9 Sept...
