A man was driving home from work when a police officer pulled in behind him and turned his lights on. The fella stepped on the gas and the chase was on. After a mile or so the man pulls over. The cop walks up to the man's cars and says It's the end of my shift and I don't want to write any more tickets. If you can tell me an excuse I haven't heard before I will let you go. The man said two weeks ago my wife ran off with a Police Officer. Puzzled the officer asks how is that an excuse for speeding. The man said it's simple. I thought you were trying to bring her back.
