Default They don't make them like they used too

Was out in the shop yesterday putting up tools ( the rainy weekend was driving me crazy. Had to get out and do something)
I grabbed my Dewalt right angle heavy duty 1/2" drill and noticed the cord was all dry rotted and cracked. I bought this drill in 93 to put coach lanterns on Mom's front porch. About that same time I was replacing cords on dad's and grandpa's power tools. Nothing last for ever.

Just part of owning tools. I am replacing all my electrical tools with battery operated tools when the former go bad. Just grab a tool and go. No cords to fool with.

I have as well. With the exception of the high torque drills suitable for pushing a large wood auger. Don't use them much anymore. My last purchase was a Dewalt 3/8 and 1/2 cordless impact. Scary how much a fella can tie up in tools

It’s amazing how powerful the battery powered ones have become! Very handy as well!

They are stout. I seriously considering a battery operated weed eater. They have battery zero turn mowers now also.

I have a bunch of battery Ryobi stuff, the mowers are my favorite, so quite and light. I don't ever want to go back to gas.

Harmony! Listen.....hmmmmmmmmmmmm! Sweet sound ain't it? Overheard a conversation the other day and the guy said "the only peace & harmony(acccord) I ever got is when I was in Prison!!" Then I saw some woman hit him with her pocketbook =his WIFE! Thinkin' about it, she DID resemble Aunt Esther as I noticed his bulging catfish-eyes(aka "fish-eyed FOOL!), as he laid grasping his heart while laying on the floor sayin' somethin' 'bout "big one -Elizabeth"?!!
