Like some of you, I was considering passing on the vaccine because of the uncertainty. Due to having only 25% use of my heart... I posed the question to my cardiologist. His response: get it AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. With your heart the chance of dying because of this illness is more sure of a thing than dying from the vaccine for it. I got the shot.
I received my first dose of the Pfizer version on Thursday at work. I had some pretty nasty side effects including headache, exhaustion, sore joints and my gums felt swollen. The side effects I was blessed with were far worse than when I had the actual covid back in November. Not looking forward to the second dose. I will say that I am one of only 5 that I know of that had any meaningful side effects out of over 500 that received it.
First Moderna, zero side effects.
More vaccine coming on line. Looking forward to the time that everyone is eligible.
I got my first shot in early January. Got the second on 4 February. For the first I had a little discomfort at the injection site and felt like hammered poop the day after. Then the second - arm much more painful but not unbearable. Can't tell you how I felt the day after the 2nd, as I had surgery to remove a Basal Cell Carcinoma (skin cancer) that day. Not feeing anything like the day after the first, so not too bad a reaction as far as I am concerned.
Got my second shot this morning
Still waiting. PA is not doing well with distribution, at least here in the SE. Glad to see guys getting the vaccine.
