Struggle is real, I found if you tap menu icon top right corner, change to Web view, then I can see pics.. I'm on Android. I'm new on here and still working out kinks. Great site, just seems like I'm struggling with posting, adding pics,
Still the same old issues for me, no update of the app since December and none of my phone updates have made any difference.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Crappie.com Fishing mobile app
That is odd, before I posted I uninstalled and reinstalled again assuming it would be the latest update and it still shows the December version 7.1.4 I believe. I will look again but really don't what else to do.

I'll request they update it again. It's a weird process, maybe something went wrong.
Thanks Ed

How do you tell what version you have ?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Crappie.com Fishing mobile app
Ok....i have 7.1.4. And everything works fine post pics....see pics etc.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Crappie.com Fishing mobile app
I have version 7.1.4. also, "G", and I can post pics but can't see 'em unless I go to my PC. Can see other"s pics sometimes and sometimes can't.:scratchhead
Calvin....some of the guys that cant see them click on the three dots in upper corner and then click on web view and you can see them then. So far I have not had to do that with mine.

Thanks I will try that.

I guess my phone probably updated the Crappie.com app to 7.1.4 on it's own when I started having trouble. I am sure there was probably a setting that I could changed to have prevented it from happening. This is exactly why I never do the updates on the units on my boats if they are working. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

I get that more often than not, also on Mobil app.. Same thing can see avator of postee , but can't see most pics others post. I use ZTE Android. Also cant post pics ,says to large if I try to post pic.

If you're getting the "pic too large" problem .... go into the settings of your camera and use a smaller size range than what your phone camera is currently set on.
I use a Samsung Android phone & my camera setting is on 4:3 (3.1M) 2048x1536 (second highest setting my phone camera is capable of out of 6 different settings) ... and my pics post just fine.
You may also want to use the Test Forum, once you set the camera to a lower pic size, just to see if your pics will post correctly or if they are turned 1/4 turn to the left (and you took the pic with the phone held straight up/down). Tapatalk & C.c app updates have made some pics unrecognizable in their orientation on this site, and the site tries to correct that by turning the pic into a "landscape" mode orientation. That causes the pic to be turned to the left. Unfortunately, the only way to correct that (on this site) is to remember to take the pictures you want to post here ... with the top of the phone pointing to your right.
I originally did not have to do this with my previous phone, because it had a old update version. But, with my new phone & subsequent updates, I now do have to tilt the phone to my right to get the pics to post in the correct upright orientation.
As far as not being able to see pics in other member's posts .... I know there's been discussion on that, but don't remember what the fix was (since I don't have that problem). My advice on that would be to send a PM to "G" and ask him.
CRPPYDDY said this worked for him : "I found if you tap menu icon top right corner, change to Web view, then I can see pics.. I'm on Android"
CrappiePappy,
Thanks for the tips. Unfortunately when I look at settings for camera phone I can not find anyway to adjust pic size, quality, storage, or pixels. Cheap ZTE Chinese knockoff Android, so not shocked at lack of adjustments. Additionally haven't had new fish pics to post so hasn't been too worrisome : maybe I'll get some halibut this weekend?. May have to bite the bullet and use photo bucket or other cloud pic service, but not in hurry to learn it yet.
On opening in webview--- tried it & it now opens the "can you see this" pics at beginning of this thread, now,but only if opened with browser and not the crappie.com mobile? ap[emoji847]. One problem solved. Thank you, thank you[emoji106][emoji106]

Don't know if this will work or not .... but, have you tried emailing the pics to yourself & then copy/paste them to the site ?? They may still be too big :dono ... but, much cheaper than Photobucket. And Photobucket is the main reason for all this, in the first place, with their "free" site hosting no longer being free. :banghead
