Between 82 and 84 but I would think 83.:twocents:popcorn
I am between 78 and 80.....if you can guess my age then you are not old.....I will attest to the fact, "growing old ain't for wimps".....
Based on your list, I would say we grew up the same time period....you forgot the "2 party" phone lines...
Two party!!!!!!! Our first one had 7 people on it. Had distinctive rings... our number was 791R2 which meant ring twice. One elderly lady's call was 4 rings and it took her forever to get to the phone so we listened to 4 rings repeated over several minutes until she finally heard it and made her way to the phone.
Growing up in West Texas, we were on a party line as well. Can't recall how many folks were on it. But, I'll always remember that our incoming call rings were two short and a long.
Guess 74
I guess 68 so where's my prize.
"gene"
We didn't have a phone when I was young. There were few rural lines. We went to the gin at Frog Jump, Tn to call. 10c local., Tn
Cane, I grew up on Black Creek and went to school in Maury City. Class of 77. I have brothers that are your age. I drank a many of pops at Gillian's store on Hwy 88.
Remind me when fire was first harnessed? That is my guess. Someplace between dirt and fire! Dinasaures roamed the earth.
