    Default Ford moving to Mexico

Ford says there will be no jobs lost by moving small models since they are increasing other model production outputs. Why move? There are plenty of empty buildings in Detroit and Flint. My bet is greed.

If they acquired a plant here, they would have to get some people out of Mexico to work in it.
    Tell'em I'll be there.

From what I see of the labor market, that's a very true statement.

The plant in Mexico is going to be making a couple of small cars for Ford, not trucks. Most "American made" trucks are the Toyota Tundra & Ford F150 (tie) as of 2015 statistics.

In any event, since it will take a couple of years to build the plant ... we'll have a new President before that can happen.

Hate to see the move to Mexico. But, I can't blame them for getting out of Detroit.

My understanding is this will not cause the loss of any jobs here in the states but will create jobs in Mexico. Maybe if we create them some jobs there they will stay on their side of the fence.Their large models like pick-ups and SUVs will still be built here.

I have been a Ford buyer since I bought my 1st 1970 Mustang Mach1 in 1973. My father-in-law was a Ford/Lincoln Mercury dealer for 30 years. All that said, the fact that Ford didn't take a single penny of bail-out $$ from Uncle Sucker would be reason enough for me to buy the brand.

Yep. I don't plan on buying a Chevy or Chrysler any day soon for that very reason, and my last three vehicles have been a Ford. I love my new Lariat.

I have a 2002 F150 V8 Triton Super Cab with 195,000 miles on it. I will probably get a 2013 model in the Spring. I love their F 150 line of truck.

Be different if Ford was moving to build and sell in Mexico, but Ford will "import" the cars to the US.

No one in Mexico has money to buy cars except the Cartels and they drive BMWs and Land Rovers.
