Default Anybody wear Transition Vantage polarized lense

Bottom line is I am getting OLD!! Have worn contacts for distance for 35 years but now need cheaters. Really don't want to wear contacts and carry cheaters around so thinking about bifocals with Transition lenses that are polarized. On the Transition web site looks like they have 2 different lenses that you can get with polarization. One is for outdoor only and the other is Vantage. Just wondering how the Vantage polarized lens work for fishing/outdoor activities??

I have them, transition lens are highly individual. I have had different versions of transition lenses over the years, most don't work for me. It all has to do with the size of the "bifocal" area, and how it's blended (transitioned) into the main lens.

Also, so, these work pretty well on flatter lenses, but heavily curved lenses (like my Wiley X sunglasses) are tough to get right, mine took three tries to get a useable pair of glasses.

I have tinted transitions. They stay in the "box" except when driving. I still use the previous model which I recovered from the toilet drain. Shade transitions never get dark enough and they never get clear enough. They aint cheep. I look cool when I wear them though.

My old glasses are just clear transitions (trifocals) and work just fine for me.

I wear contacts similar to you. I have Walmart cheaters everywhere. I just purchased some polarized glasses with 2.5 lenses for reading out of the fly tying shop at Bass Pro ($40). I was considering going the same route as you before I found these. DP

You can get any kind you want for a lot less than most. I just got some for the wife and she loves them. My daughter is the one who tipped me off about them as that is where she gets hers from. In about 2 weeks I will be ordering me some progressive/bifocal polaroid for driving and boating.

This is new technology, polarized lenses were "fixed shade" and could not change from clear to shaded, until now. May have to look into this in the future.
