I believe that you can take isolated facts and prove that “Global Warming” is or isn't happening right now. What I don’t believe is, that there is anything we can do about it. I think it is all part or the cycle the earth goes through to correct those things that can and will change as the planet ages. From the Ice Age to the Global Warming phenomena, all we have learned is to panic and blame everyone else for the “problem” and I use that word with tongue in cheek. If the earth has had enough of us, it will dispose of mankind and there is not one danged thing we can, or should do about it.

Yep there is really nothing we can do. All of these NOAA,EPA,etc made up as they go rules are done to protect their little goverment job its like saying ," See you really need me to protect the world." When in reality what we don't need is these people in the gov making things worse. I have watched the program that shows what they think would happen if the world were suddenly without people. Very interesting to see how long they think a lot of the man made stuff would last.

Dear BB before whining one should consider a few things. Now for your enlightenment, Duke Power aided and abetted by the Governor of NC managed to dump coal ash into the Dan River the river crosses state boundaries. I guess it would suit you to return to the good old days when rivers would catch fie (Cuyahoga River near Cleveland).Perhaps you favor poisoned waterways but most folks don't.

Here is a very well done and interesting site providing insight on climate change as to the scientific consensus and examples of many of the deceitful comments made by many climate change advocates.
Their Goal:
To educate the public about climate science and through them bring pressure to bear on governments to engage in public debates on the scientific merits of the hypothesis of human induced global warming and the various policies that intend to address the issue.
Their Opinion:
It is our opinion that the Sun is the main direct and indirect driver of climate change.
On the top panel at this site to the right of the rotating globe note those series of different comments that are displayed there.
For those interested in this issue enjoy The Friends Of Science at.

Well speKzilla Please be aware I have spent MANY MANY days working at TVAN (Tennesse Valley Authority NUCLEAR ) Plants along with some TVA coal plants. Not all plants have the same mentality as Duke Power. What I am saying is that there are people working in a LOT of GOV positions that use it like welfare. Mainly because they could not hold a job in the real working world. I will stand by what I said about Gov agencies making up rules as they go along. One of the first things that the people as a whole need to do is get rid of by vote every life long politican in Washington and tell the new ones we are tired of the way that Gov agencies make up rules to suit themselves. I do believe that before they can make up rules they have to be proposed then voted on by congress and senate. If it failsd there then thats the end of it. If it passes it goes before the voting public. If it fails there then thats the end of it. I do not condon the dumping of coal dust or any chemical waste into any waterway and anyone that would even think that needs to remove their head from their rear. One thing everyone needs to realize about any gov agency state or federal is it comes down to one thing. How to seperate you from your money.

Well, well having spent time working at nuclear facilities myself I will share some insight. I spent time at he Surrey Nuc. plant in Va and doing work for Newport News, as well the Naval Nuclear Program. In this time I had the fun of being subjected to the scrutiny of inspectors from NNRO (Naval Reactors Representatives Office)one of those evil government office you hold in contempt. Yet , they have been able to operate reactors in the confines of a submarine. This was done by following strict rules ,not voted on by congress, perhaps it would be better to just to let things just go but I doubt it. I do seem to recall the "real world that you reference " giving us the thrill of Three Mile Island.

Very good let me give you a little pat on the back. I do understand that Naval inspectors can be some of the toughes in the world as they should be. As far as three mile island goes, At a TVAN site I once had the occasion to talk to one of the gov inspectors that had been at that site. ZI discussed wityh him what one of the engineers from the boiler company (designed the boiler and supervised its installation) told me about some of the things that had lead up to that fiasco. It was operator error. The analog gauges stuck, Operator makes changes computer starts making changes. Things do not happen fast enough for operator. Operator makes changes again. Competer has to start all over to correct to new changes. Had it not been for the way the overall containment system is designed it would have been a lot worse than it was. The media made it seem a lot worse than it really was. But I suppose you were there also. TVAN hired a NAVAL officer as a plant manager that was suppose to know how to operate a nuclear plant. It didn't take them long to figure out he was not capable of running the plant. I am not saying he didn't know how to run the unit just that he didn't know how to run the plant.
