A little Redneck ! Is it the crudeness or are you anti hunting ?:dono
Glad you brought up The National Enquirer for that is the news source that flushed the drug abuse of the conservative savior Limbaugh.
Dear LBM your attention is touching, so because you show such diligence I shall explain things so that you can gain some enlightenment. First the post asking for actual peer reviewed articles concerning climate change was simply that ,a request for science rather than anecdotal foolishness no more no less.
The other posts were quite simply a display of utter contempt no more no less. Now by your using a quote from Ayn Rand I guess you agree with her atheism or did that escape your purview.
As for my enjoyment I am truly gratified by your concern
Conservatives don't have political saviors. That's your side. Case in point:

I am in favor of who or whatever exposes the wrong doing of those in power. Once again you put forth the fallacy of my political affiliation as if that justifies your limited view. All you so righteous conservatives are blind to the fact there are more than 2 points of view. Live on in this cloistered view, you are welcome to it but as your moniker reveals you are still stuck in the 70s, while the world has moved on. Yet my natural generosity makes me offer to reveal the workings of that troublesome ball-point pen, if you ask politely.Remember the eye you save may be your own.
I was fairly certain your sign in hadn’t been hacked and am rather satisfied in the correctness of my observations and conclusions on your sentiments with your postings. Though I did omit commenting on the contempt you held with your postings when I said “or in fact you really do relish responding with hilarious comedy/sad attempts at humor just like the most of us already enjoy.” Thanks for the clarification.
Now with you comment “… by your using a quote from Ayn Rand I guess you agree with her atheism or did that escape your purview” shows your utter ignorance and total misunderstandings on her philosophy of Objectivism advocating for how man should live and politically and economically relate to each other without coercion. When Rand’s views on how man should relate are rejected is also a rejection of The Declaration of Independence and our Constitution as founded and leaves only political and economic thuggery and coercion as man’s means of interaction. As one who highly values liberty I find Ayn Rand’s views as absolutely compelling since I first heard her on the Johnny Carson show in the mid 1960’s.
DBD this is for you I will leave out some of my more strident ideas for as you will see you are wrong
1.Money should be backed by actual items of value gold, silver etc.
2.Until budget balanced no foreign aid
3.No troops sent to war without a formal declaration of war
4.No warrantless spying on US citizens.
5.No permit needed for concealed carry. No permit mentioned in 2nd amendment.
That is enough for now as I need to address another issue for the would be objectivist.
A. Part of Rand's philosophy was atheism you failed to address this.
B. Like many conservatives Rand ignored science she did not wish to be bothered with statistics. So, she smoked hastening her own demise. How smart.
C.She tapped into the social programs when she needed help even using an alias to avoid detection. My how the mighty do fall.
Now I must go fishing, but I shall return to further remove the blinders which the 2 of you seem determined to wear.
Item #1 I totally agree. #2 should be broken into two points with one being balance the budget and the other being no foreign aid without all the due quid pro quo that directly benefits our national interest with mutual open and free market trading. #3 & 4 & 5 I totally agree.
What is there to address on her atheistic views? Shouldn’t she arrive at her beliefs based on her own reasoning process or having your religious convictions coerced on her in accepting your views on religion? Those views take nothing away from her compelling views on how man should live in liberty without being coerced by others.
As for your point B it was her choice to smoke and she suffered the consequences which is the way liberty works. Some, usually lib types, seem to think people shouldn’t experience the consequences of their choices and actions.
As for your point C it appears that you are in lock step opinion with the Huffington Post http://www.huffingtonpost.com/michae..._b_792184.html that victims of theft having money taken from them for something they don’t agree on should just roll over and willingly accept that someone else knows better how their own money should be spent and stolen from them for other purposes and not get any of it back is an ludicrously evil attitude of thugs. And just because she disagreed with Social Security or Medicare and that she is now considered a hypocrite by drawing that money. I’ve been coercively paying into Social Security and Medicare for years something I disagreed in and now I’m drawing on both without one twinge of guilt or in any way considering myself a hypocrite though I do have great sympathies for those just starting to pay into these Ponzi schemes that haven’t yet reached their ultimate unavoidable conclusion.
As promised, DBD you admitted that the thoughts I listed were "conservative/libertarian" hence logically they should be supported by your conservative mentors, alas they are not. Now behold, Nixon uncoupled the dollar from hard specie even a conservative should remember he was a repuplicant. Number 2,3,and4 one could see no evidence of support from your side as another great republicant W was guilty of violating these. 5 is actually more of a state's issue. So it does appear that you like most conservatives seem to be blind to the chicanery of those you support, how sad.
Now LBM concerning Rand, her lack of religious belief troubles me not but one should examine all facets of a philosophy. As for her smoking, the point addressed was not her freedom, but her out and out rejection and disdain for the evidence presented by science. Combining B and C, her problem was not so much hypocracy, the problem was hubris. Pride doe go before the fall.
You remind me of a certain guy on another site. He goes on and on about what a big libertarian he is and then does nothing but bash Republicans. He never says a bad word about the Dems.
I think you both have a good understanding of "LIB". It's just the letters that follow that you're confused about.
Crime and murder, i buy toilet tissue, don't need to buy more.:bash
I merely pointed out the logical fallacy of your attempts at rational argument. You are suffering by attempting to use the term " Lib" as a substitute for actual thought on your part. Remember it was the liberal FDR that repealed Prohibition. As far as attacking your oh so dear republicants let me remind you (being from GA I doubt you comprehend) that in Virginia the great Robert E.Lee fought long and hard to keep the Lincoln (republican) forces out of his beloved commonwealth. I am merely following a great tradition. Republicants Delenda Est.
No bones to pick here, veterans and crappie members need to be elected they have the best ideas i ever seen.:fish. The offices of the goverment now:juggle
I guess if you are from Georgia or Tennessee you're opinion means nothing. But what do I know I'm from Kentucky.
I agree but examining the multiple facets of any philosophy one is always limited by how much time one has that he can spend studying. If it appears logical consistent and non-contradictory I can usually be persuaded on those facets examined. I haven’t found myself totally in 100% agreement with anyone yet. I pick and choose those elements from many that I find compelling and that fits my current understanding and hierarchy of values I hold.
As one who upholds liberty I say one should be free to make their own choices in weighing the scientific evidence and the effects experienced by using nicotine though as an ex-smoker I now adamantly despise and avoid the expelled smoke of others.
Hypocrisy and hubris have forever been part of the human experience and forever remains a possibility for all. When you say “Pride doe go before the fall” seems to me you are equating the inevitable certainty of death with something like Nixon’s resignation which epitomizes a real human failing.
I haven’t really characterized your position yet but really think Nelson Hultberg of Americans For A Free Republic offers a very good analysis on the current bifurcation with the libertarian and conservative movements and how their divergence has a negative effect on the maintenance of our liberties from his article that can be read from this posting. http://afr.org/modern-freedom-movement-1940-2014/
From what I’ve read of this fellow I find him rather compelling IMHO. Examples from that article.
“This political philosophy stands for the individual over the collective, a strictly limited constitutional government based upon federalism, equal “rights” instead of equal “results,” a free-market economy, no entangling foreign alliances, and an objective code of morality for society as opposed to the moral neutrality of Rothbardians and modern liberals. This is what needs to be restored.”
“This is the crucial issue of our time – restoration of libertarian conservatism in America and its “settled code of freedom for the individual.” If we, who believe in free enterprise and the Constitution, wish to reverse America’s drift into an authoritarian state, our goal must not be to accommodate, but to purge the Gargantua on the Potomac that usurps our rights and freedoms with impunity. Libertarians and conservatives must be reunited to effectively challenge this monster.”
“The statist Gargantua controls our lives today because there is no effective ideological counterforce to overthrow its moral-philosophical-theoretical base.”
How wrong you are which seems to be your baseline dear DBD. NAFTA supported by Clinton very bad. The bank bailout bad oh do forgive me that did start with W none the less the Dems did go along. Now Drudge's claim to fame ,the Lewinsky affair, I am more than willing to admit the claim of a scoop but one must not forget your intrepid newshound was so sharp he published satirical report from the Onion (Bloomberg vs Pizza)as fact.My guess is you just overlooked that. Now in my to my benevolent nature I shall credit the Eisenhower for the Interstates.I take it you wish reinstate Prohibition after all a lib repealed it.
To the Gentleman from Kentucky, good Bourbon covers over many shortcomings at least you got out of Harlan alive.
Republicant Delenda Est
Now to MR. LBM I wish to congratulate you, at long last a cogent well thought out posting, that being rare makes it more appreciated.
Once again must go as I live close enough to the local lakes that I can hear the unmistakable call of a fish that need be captured. One can only try
Yes lets elect the Cee family again, White Water,Bhengazi...etc, i thought Mr. McDougal died of self inflicted harm or did something else take place to make him disappear, oh i forgot his wife got out early due to the pardon of the Cee family, tell me where was white water, and the list goes on.
