I had both hands done a couple of years ago but not at the same time. Doing both at same time would be tough. Made my hands better but still have issues. 3 to 4 weeks recovery, hands still hurt when I do too much like fish all day. Good luck!

Any reports on having trigger fingers released surgically? I have one on the left (I'm left handed) and one on the right, my strong hand, that cause me issues when fishing or working with my hands. Doc has be coming in Friday to release em both by cutting the sheath that binds the tendons.

They way I have my health insurance structured it will save me big time doing them at the same time.

I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH BOTH HANDS ALSO. WENT TO DOCTOR AND HE SUGGESTED CORTIZONE SHOTS IN EACH FINGER. TOOK THE SHOTS AND ONLY HAD SLIGHT PROBLEMS FOR 7 YRS THEN STARTED AGAIN. WENT BACK AND HE DID THE CORTIZONE AGAIN AND ALL IS FINE GOING ON 2 YRS. i WOULD TRY IT BEFORE THE KNIFE.LOL
I've had one shot in one of the hands, eliminated the pain, but did nothing for the "catch". That was less than a year ago.

Carpal Tunnel surgery is what is sounds like. At least that is what Dr told me when he did mine. Dr would not both both at once as he said, "You gotta go the the bathroom!" In the 4 years since, hand has locked up twice but more importantly for me, I sleep thru every night and do not wake up with all the hand and wrist pain.
Was for me anyhow worth having done, Wish I had done it sooner.
Follow the doctors post surgery instructions to the T including the simple exercises and massages they tell you to do, 6 - 8 weeks later all will be good.
CT is in the wrist, this is just below your fingers. Follow any finger to your hand, the pad right below your fingers, that is where the "catch" is.
It is not unlike CT, kind of the same cause/effect situation and close to the same mechanical release.

I do the cortisone in 2 fingers on my left hand. The Dr. shoots them right at the base of the fingers. This Dr. is a hand /wrist specialist. Works good for me.
