That is an exceptional fish no mater how it was caught but thru the ice on that little out fit is just a miracle. Congratulations to that guy for sure.

That's cool , even more so through the ice. About 35 years ago I held the Arkansas Record for awhile at 60 lbs. There was one just onces short of 140 lbs caught on commerical tackle here too!

Yep those ice rods are pretty much like fishing with a coat hanger. Throw in that small ice hole and that angler had his work cut out for him. WOW!

That's an awesome fish flathead fishing is a passion of mine also. I've got a big one in my fish pics on here. A lot of people don't know flatheads will hit crappie jigs. I hooked into a 40 pounder on a crappie jig at the dam 2 years ago fishing for skipjack had it just long enough that everybody could see it then he straightened out the hook. These fish truly fight with that big flat tail to get one on small equipment truly is a trophy.
