Should we ban folks on public assisstance from playing lotteries and casinos? If the money we are forking over to help them live and eat is being wasted on gambling is it wrong?

Without a doubt, they should also pee in a cup once a month.

I agree, folks who receive public assistance should not be permitted to gamble with that or any other money they might have, if they have money to buy lottery tickets then maybe we are giving them too much assistance... I do object to the drug test though, there are a good many folks who think these people should be drug tested, it bothers me that we are giving money to people who don't need it and if that is the case why do they have to fail a drug test in order for us to take it away... What do we do if they fail a drug test, take their assistance away? If we take food stamps away from somebody with kids or somebody in a wheel chair where does that leave the kids and the folks who are disabled, I'm sure every disabled person out there can't pass a drug test and I doubt we want the streets full of disabled folks because they failed a drug test, people don't just go away simply because you evicted them from their home.

As long as it is required procedure to pee in the cup to keep a job, so should it also be required to pee in the cup for the freebies. Kind of like no pass no play.
I realize this is too simple.

They should be restriced from having kids as well, if you can't take care of yourself, you can't reproduce.

This post reminds of one a guy from Cali posted last year on rzr forum. It stated an article about people using there welfare cards on cruise ships and casinos. The state could actually track them, it it was in the millions that was being spent on these by welfare recipients in Cali .... Sad were our tax dollars go

You guys gave your opinion about drug testing folks but you declined to give your opinion about what we should do with the kids of those who lose assistance and what should we do with the disabled folks who lose their assistance, you can't just say take the assistance away without having an answer as to what we do with them after they lose their assistance... it's easy to say 'take the assistance away' then shut your mouth and turn your back but that's not the end of the story, these folks don't just magically go away, they are still around, just living and starving in the street... Some of you are quite adamant about your stand on abortion but seem to be willing to starve the kid after it is born... As far as restricting someone from having kids, would you be advocating our government force sterility on somebody? Seems to me you same guys have your shorts in a wad over the government infringing on your gun rights... Does that mean your rights are more important than the next persons?
