Meet Beau
I'm kinda partial to the yellow lab breed and their mixes. They don't have to be pure bred, they just need a home. I kick myself everyday for letting go of Princess, but that's fostering and God had other plans, like keeping me laid up for weeks. My wife attended an adoption event in Leesburg and text me a pic of this dog which was almost the spittin' image of Princess. I would meet him a week later at his foster home. I pulled into the driveway with our current dog "Pumpkin" (Sophie). There was a professional photographer there in the backyard taking pictures of this lab mix I wanted to meet, named Grady. He was a big ox who had no problems with me and Punkin walking into his yard. Vastly interested in meeting my dog he gave her a good going over. After 20 minutes I had made a half hearted decision in mind (along with a new name). I made an arrangement to have Grady over for a slumber party to see how he does in our house.
The following day (this past Sunday) my wife calls me from the next adoption event at Petco. She says You can come get Grady at 3:00! Well... it seems some folks had made a long drive to come see and adopt Grady. After that confusion was settled by them meeting Daisy, Grady came home with me. He's been every bit the gentleman the whole time he's been here, so he was instantly allowed free-roam privileges. He's been a Godsend for Sophie who's still adjusting to a real life vs her hell at the hoarders house. She's come out of her shell so fast it's kind of stunned me. I think we're 99.99% sure Grady is not only going to be Beau, but he's also going to be a Powell and a permanent addition to our home. Beau came to us with happy tail syndrome and pain killer, but is recovering nicely. He's also a little thin, but we'll fix that quick! Hopefully by the end of this day he'll be all ours.

My darling Princess (dam I miss her). She now resides in a wonderful home outside of Baltimore(100 miles from me!).
