I get a kick every time I'm setting in the bus, and happen to be looking out the window and watch people drive by staring at it. It's happened at least a dozen times since setting here this past week, and that's just those I've seen. I mean, I know it's a little different, but you'd think the way people look at it that a space ship had landed.

Young, old, men, women, it doesn't matter. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to seem to make fun of them, I actually enjoy watching them as much as they do looking at me. I've had some make the loop 3-4 times just so they can look again, and people take pics of it setting, or even driving down the Highway. I'm used to it, but I get just as much of a kick out of it as the 1st time I drove it down the road. I guess if I wanted to be sneaky, I picked the wrong vehicle

Maybe when it's time for new paint, a camo scheme should be in order.....then they'd think the US Army was here (or Gary Busey ala Blacksheep was inside). Heck I had one lady at a gas station (back in IN) convinced I was the S.W.A.T. Team

Heck, if'n ya see me, honk or get out and knock on the door, I promise to have the Phasers set no higher than Stun

We spent almost 5 years living fulll time in our motorhome. While my MH was pretty much standard (Winnebago) I made a PVC mount for our satellite dish that caused the same reaction you are getting. I would sit in the RV and laugh as people, mostly guys would point out my dish and start discussing it. Even had some come knock on the door and ask if it really worked. I found this after I got frustrated with the flimsy tripod that I got with the dish. Once I got the hang of it, I could set this up and have a 95% signal in 5 minutes or less and the wind did not affect it.

Take it as a compliment and put a big smiley face on the side of the camper/trailer & kayak. I'd put me a sign on that said something like.....
"I'm from nowhere in particular, but will go just about anywhere to fish". Or, "I'm from nowhere in particular, but I'm particular about where I go".

Thanks CP, I've had people come-in for a tour, and as soon as they step-in, I tell 'em it's $5 each. You should see the look on their faces. I can only keep a straight face for about 2 seconds.

I was taking out a bag of trash a couple days ago, and there was a family (man, woman, and couple kids) out front in a van or SUV, I talked with them for a couple minutes and he'd asked me if I raised the roof, I told him I had, and they were more than welcome to come take a look inside....and they took-off Now I know I ain't no Brad Pitt.....but I ain't no Egor either
