America is missing the real issue. That man saw himself as the Joker. He got his identify from a movie that promotes violence. He probably grew up playing violent video games. That offensive commandment "Thou shall not kill" was banned from the school he attended. His life instruction wasn't "Be ye kind one to another", but killing is a game and you should spend your time working to get good at it. His hero wasn't Jesus Christ, but the Joker. There has been an assault on God and His word and a glorification of in your face violence. It has nothing to do with guns. It has to do with his values and core principles. He got them from the culture. Hollywood promotes this and so does the video game and music industry. We've come a long way since Roy Rogers. This young man was indeed trained up in the way he should go. And what he worshipped, he followed. Whose child will be next? America's schools, homes, and entertainment industry are training this generation to be anything but godly.

Ranger you spoke the truth and john q public has stood by and let it happen. Back in the 60's 1% of the public took the bible and pray out of school and it has gone down hill ever since.
Be as smart as you can, but it is always better to be wise than to be smart.

Don't know about all that, everyone else his age grew-up the same way but it didn't make all of them psychopaths. Too many people claim to be a "product of their environment" as an excuse for not wanting to take responsibility for their choices/actions.

Bloomberg was already foaming at the mouth regarding gun control, the rest will be crawling out of the woodwork shortly (of course you don't hear any of them talking about the Operation Gunrunner fiasco, wonder why?). Some will never learn (or admit) that attempting to remove our 2nd Amendment Right (which will never happen) would only increase the number of these type of situations. Had one or two armed citizens been in that Theater, odds are the number of victims could/would have been substantially lessened, and there would be one less scumball to clog-up the Courts crying about how his mommy didn't love him enough. Instead, many (especially today's youth) are being programmed to believe firearms are "evil" and unnecessary.

Guns are to blame for killings as much as pencils are for misspelled words, and for spoons making Rosie O'Donnell fat.

People's values and way of life have changed and NOT for the better IMO. How many times back in the 60's and 70's was something like this even heard about? What has happened is truly ashamed and I hope there is swift justice for that young man so my tax dollars dont have to help feed him for the next 50 years.

The sad thing is the cost of swift justice. I say continue to feed him and not give him the easy way out, unless of course they can lower our cost of swift justice.
It is not what you do for your children, but what you have taught them to do for themselves, that will make them successful human beings.

Gun control nuts were wired up this morning on ABC. If gun control was the answer, then there would be no problem in Chicago! What we have is moral decay. When God is left out of the equation, everything goes to hell. Judgement is upon the law makers who defy God.

exGov Rendell said charge gun owners $1000 a bullet. Yep. Good solution from an idiot.

    Well said NeonMoon!
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.

How does it feel to have someone else possibly dictate what you can and can't do as a person, in your own personal life? I wonder if the gay's and women having an abortion feel as strong in there cause and you do about your guns!! Just something to think about. EB

I wonder if fishing sinkers will be $1000 each too since they can easily be melted and cast as bullets.
