When I stumbled across this story while checking the local weather, I thought that this would be a story everyone would like.

The recovery of bald eagle numbers is something we can all be proud of. Here in Minneapolis that has included the recovery of many of the other hawks, too. We also have sharp shins, Coopers and even peregrine falcons right here inside the city limits. It is not at all uncommon to see a bald eagle or two when fishing inside the city limits either.

A cooling dip would be a nice thing for me, too, if I didn't burn so easily. It has been over a hundred degrees here three days straight. It has been 24 years, since we had that. It has been an oven up here, and that is something we are not quite used to.

When it is too hot for this old boy to fish, it is pretty extreme. Here's hoping that they can finally lift the heat advisory at 7 pm tonight like they are now forecasting. That was supposed to be 10 pm last night, but the heat wave decided to stick around for another scorching day. Still 101 as of about half an hour ago.
