Just wondering. If this gets deleted, I'll understand it was too personal,
or too far "OFF TOPIC". Since most states allow CCW, do you feel it appropriate
to carry while fishing? I do, but do all the time anyway, for the past 8 years.
Kind of like my debit card, I "don't leave home without it". Haven't seen this
tossed about anywhere, but since I'm still reading, maybe I just haven't got
there yet.

retired and now i will always fish
Always carry anywhere it's legal, and avoid the States that don't recognize an Indiana Permit. I'll spend my money elsewhere (in those States which do). No one should ever consider exercising a Constitutional Right controversial.
RRR ... it's been discussed before, but it's been a while.
I don't have a CCW, but CAN carry one strapped on ... as long as it's visible ... as that's the law in KY. I have done it, one of my fishing partners does, and I'd start doing it again ... if I felt the need.

I started carrying full time about 6 months ago. Carry a .380 in back pocket holster.

Always shoot for the moon, if you miss you'll still be among the stars.
I carry except when going to work.....We have a huge meth problem around here and some parts of our lake are somewhat secluded....Plus if I forget mine , my girlfriend is sure to have her Pink 380 with her....I hope I never have to display the gun and aint gonna argue with some fool about a fishing hole anyway , just aint worth it....
living life to its fullest, This is not a dressed rehearsal.
Interesting. I carry a 9 shot .22 snubbie loaded with rat shot for snakes on my creek. Water snakes
don't bother me, but the cotton mouth does. Got a few rattlers in my area and when in my kayak, I want
to keep the snakes away. If the paddle don't discourage 'em, I'll dispatch 'em. Never been bitten, but hurt
myself trying to get out of their way. lol.
My creek is secluded and rumor has it a meth lab was busted way up the creek. Never know when the
creek might be used to move stuff in and out of the area. Creek is deep enough for bass boats and
pontoon boats, so I carry other than the .22 also. Now days, caution is key. The good old days are gone.
Another one of 'em "stay ready so you don't have to get ready" situations. Thanks for sharin'. Confusion
leads to understanding, if your into understanding.
