There is a very good reason to put politics and religion into a restricted forum. Troll Wars get ugly real fast and cease to be "family friendly" even faster. No two general areas of list topics get ugly as quickly even between individuals who hold sincere beliefs. That kind of discussion very quickly attracts participants whose purpose is nothing more than to heckle and stir the pot. Some of them are even hired to do that against particular positions. I am pretty certain that happens from the extremes of all sides of controverial positions. The list owners are being very generous to allow as much as WOT.

I have been hooked into a couple of these because I hold very sincere and heavily researched beliefs that have been hooked by what I consider to be completely inaccurate statements that border on being both slanderous and un-American. That will not happen again. I came here about crappies. From here on out that is where I will stay, and I will PM list owners against any thread started specifically to create flame threads like this one was from the beginning. Take them to WOT and pound away on each other to your hearts' desire out of the sight of the rest of us. There is a place provided for this kind of antagonism. Use it, and don't count on me to follow you there. There is too little time for fishing as it is.

no1son, don't let this stuff get to you. Most of us that post here have been around a long time & most are personal friends. I will admit that if I'm ever at McDonalds in Nebraska and see EagerBeaver there I will choke him.We all have different points of view that we are entitled to. It's all about how you handle it.
