Prayers are sent for the boys and all the families involved. Will put all of you on our prayer list at church Wednesday night. Don't know about your finances but I am a shriner in NC and we offer everything paid for the child if he might need anymore medical care what so ever. We even pay for the motels the parents stay in,phyisical therapy, and will pick your family up at home for free transportion to all follow up DR visits. We have 22 hospitals across the US to help any child in need until they are 18 yrs old. We will also fly your child and you to what ever hospital he might need for the injuries he has for free. Each hospital we have is specialized in certain needs for these kids, there not just a burn center anymore. Please don't think I am trying to get in your business, just reaching out to you if you ever need anything. You can PM me for the info if you need it. May God bless your family and the boys.

I would like to thank you all for the love and support from such a huge extended family. Just another reason why I am so proud to be a member of crappie.com. Bryan was in good spirits last evening, just anxious to get the other surgery done and get out of that hospital. His big brother Casey, the Marine, stayed all night with him last night. Never left his bed side and was still awake this morning when I woke up and went in the room to say good by and head for work. The boys are all doing better and Bryan and his two buddies are starting to recall a bit more of the actual accident. Not a good story to hear. We will all recover but it will be quite some time. They say Bryans leg will be at least 6 - 8 months before it heals then a lot of physical therapy and possible other surgeries in the future. The shoulder will heal in 6 - 8 weeks but will probably be some kind of issue the rest of his life. But they are all alive and we will all recover. We are lucky enough to have some insurance through Michild here in Michigan and my auto insurance, even though my vehicle was not involved, will cover most of the medical. My wife and I both work full time at jobs we love. Some times the job you love doesn't always pay the best and that is true for my wife and I. We make it but that's about it. Being the wonderful mother that she is, she is by his side and will not go back to work until he is out of the hospital. I am now driving 200 miles per day to get to work making sure we can keep our heads above water, and to the hospital to spend nights with my son. 200 miles in a van that is probably not fit for the road right now, but I have no choice. Just a few weeks ago my car died so I had to scrape up funds to keep me on the road. I thought what I made was a great deal, some rust, couple dents, cosmetics but he engine ran fine. Immediately had to replace tie rod and found out the spring mounts on the front are rusted broke and are very costly to have fixed, if they can be found. Then on the way to the hospital, while following the ambulance, as we approached a stop light, the van blew a brake line and I almost hit the back of the ambulance that my son was in. We have a 94 pick up that runs but only gets 10 mpg and also has break issues. And it will definitely not be good for hauling Bryan around.Financial burdens that might bend us to the limits but we will not break. Mental stress and pictures in our heads that none of us ever want to see again and would never wish on our worst enemy, but we will get through it knowing that the boys survived and will be ok.
Bryan is also a member here, "slabkid". You won't see him on much but he stops by once in a while. I will pass along all your thoughts and prayers. If anyone would like to send him a card I think he would really appreciate it. You can send them to me at my business and I will make sure he gets it.

Sending prayers and asking God to give all the comfort possible to you and yours. A great job of relaying the details and expressing your feeling. Something for the family to keep and add to family history.

Thanks again everyone. He is having another surgery tomorrow to put the bones in his leg back together. He had a rough night before last. It finally sunk in as to what really happened and he broke down. First time he has cried since the accident and he really needed it. Felt so bad for him. He said he has had several bad dreams, which we are aware of because one of us has been by his bedside constantly and have seen him tossing and turning. He is a tough kid though and will come through it all tougher. Thanks. Frank

Well Bryan had his second surgey yesterday. The leg was actually broke worse than what the xrays revealed. It had a few breaks in one spot with a chunk a little bigger then a dime broke completely off. They removed the chunk the was broke off then put in a 9 inch plate with 2 long lag screws and 8 shorter screws. He will not be doing any walking for at least 2 months then it will be a year or more before he does anything other then walk. But he is still with us and will recover.
