DO-GOODER EXTRADINAR :p
My father just had a kidney biopsy a few weeks ago. I guess they put 3-4 small holes in him and he was sore for a few days afterwards. (he's 75 and in very poor health) Same deal where he couldn't leave the hospital for a few hours. They told him he had to lay flat for this time.

YES you have to lay for an extended period of time, which allows for the kidney to "HEAL".
Best you follow the DR'S orders and you will recover from the biopsy.
Hope that the test does not find anything major.
Keeping you in our prayers.
thanks guys......we're hopin that they'll find out how to better treat her condition
