There are soooo many reasons to leave Il., even besides the ones mentioned. I'm looking into TX right now. I have a family member that recently moved there from North Carolina, and they are a good information source. I'm suppose to be getting more info. about a job tomorrow. I just hope I find where I want to go, before this state completely self destructs.
Get your butt on down here! Load Paula up & come on. They have a good nursing program right here in Paducah & a brand new hospital in Marshall County.
Plenty of good jobs around here with your experiece in the machine shop. We break stuff all the time out here on the river & lots of it has to be custom made.
Come on down & we'll grow corn & chickens & fry CRAPPIE!
MICKEY'S IN DA HOUSE!!! :D
She has already started the nursing program here. She has payed part of the 30 grand. So she has to finish it.
We really need to do some talkin when we come down. Do you know any body at the hospital in Marshal County?
Give me about 5 to 6 more years ..(If I can make it that long) plan on selling my business packing up and heading South..Like the lakes and weather of Eastern/Southern Tennessee......any place where its warmer than here and away from all this states bs..... Just want to be left alone and fish...always like this saying and it has never rang truer... Just outside of Chicago there's a place called Illinois
You must be hunting in southern Illinois. You get much past Bradly and the people change. Most are very arrogant and are a get out of my way type of person. Most people from up there are from Chicago not Illinois. Just ask them were there from and that is what you will here.
Now remember not everyone you meet is like that but most.
My house just appraised for $155,000 and my real estate taxes are $3875.00 year. And now they just took some were around a $1000.00 bucks
out of my pay check a year. And you can see that are gas is allways 3-5 cent a gallon more here also. unless you go to the city and the prices they have on gas and booze and smokes is unreal.
"The past three years have been very difficult for Knapheide Manufacturing and our people," Knapheide said. "We have undergone significant layoffs, wage freezes, elimination of performance bonuses and numerous cost cutting measures."
Knapheide said the tax increase does not help the company compete in what is already a tough business environment.
"Price competition in our depressed markets is fierce," he said. "It is impossible to full cover increase in material costs, energy costs, the added expense of Obamacare and now the added cost of the waste and corruption in Illinois government."
Knapheide said downstate businesses are expected to pay for "the Chicago political machine" that is "destroying not only Chicago and Cook County, but the economy of the entire state of Illinois. The machine carefully takes care of their political cronies at the expense of the Illinois taxpayer. Their arrogance, greed and corruption leave the people of Illinois with high income taxes, high property taxes and high unemployment."
