I really enjoyed getting to see all the nice boats up at the tourney this
weekend. Made me want to trade that much worse though! I'm not sure
who's it was, but there was a 18' Lund with kicker motor and all in one of
the slips that I fell in love with. My daughter and I walked around looking at
the boats in the marina Sat. evening. It hasn't been that long ago when
around here, if you had a 1648 flatbottom with 20" sides, you were "King of
the River" When I got my 1852, I even had a few folks tell me it was too
big to crappie fish out of - HA! It looked like a cartopper compared to some of
the boats up there. We have rough water here too, and I think a lot of folks
are changing their minds about what is "enough boat". 60" bottoms are
common now, and even quite a few 72"'s. Just in the last few years, starting
to see some deep-V's around here too. Need a new "Ship"! :D
