I was surprised to find it in the driveway while going to the Mailbox.. It had been ran over enough that it ws easy to see it was a Wheat. That Part of the Driveway was also around the House Grandpaw built... When I picked it up the Color was so dark I thought it was a War Steele coin but the Head side had caked with Oxidation so thick nothing could be made out ... I very Gently used my Knife to Remove enough to begain to find the Features of the Head side to gently uncover the Date without scratching the coin... The Date 1918 D ---- It had to be a Coin that Grandpaw Lost when he Was Building the House... This Coin now has a Special Place to be Passed on to Family... At 99 years old now -- it can only get more valuable to our Family for all the work and Sacrafices he made for our Family
