Default Arkansas squirrel hunt last weekend

I love to hunt squirrels just as much as catching crappie. In La., our squirrel season doesn't open until the 1st Saturday in October. In Arkansas, it opens on the 1st of September, so we get a little head start by going to Arkansas. The squirrels are plentiful and the hunters are few. the 1st and last day, the temperature was in the 90's. They didn't move much. but we did get 2 days of cool temps and low humidity, which had the squirrels moving a lot. I was able to do well on those days.

Congrats Dapet, I also have the same feeling about squirrel hunting. My problem is there is almost no place left to hunt them down here. The hurricanes have destroyed the few places I had to hunt. Squirrel hunting sure is more fun than deer hunting and the bushy tails are much better eating. You have me turning green.

Congratulations on a couple of fine limits. I was surprised to see the fox squirrels. Where I used to hunt in Arkansas, there were nothing but the smaller cat squirrels.
