The new Field and Stream store is next to the new Dick's sporting goods in Lafayette. Looks like two separate buildings attached from the outside, but all one store with a small entrance attaching the two. Didn't go into the Dick's section, but spent over two hours in the Field and Stream section. Super nice fellas. They had twice the firearms, rods, and reels that Cabela's has. Many times the fishing equipment that Academy has. I had a $10 off coupon from the newspaper if I spent over $50. Also had my gift card from my daughter from my birthday worth $50. It was real easy to put stuff into my hand basket. Total bill was $67. All said and done, I spent $7.

What was interesting was everyone there were older folks, not like what you would see at Academy with the kids. Talked to a fella in the fishing department and he said everyone works part time and that the company has preference to those that have been laid off in the oil and gas industry for the local economy. Hat's off to them for sure, they have my business.

Leaving there, I passed by a Thai restaurant. Turned around and went inside. I tore up the curry they had there, been a long time. After getting home, I was worthless for the rest of the day.
