I just returned from my nephews funeral in Pearl, Mississippi.....that would be my sisters son, Thomas Michael (Mike) Harper....he was 62 and retired from the Mississippi Dept. Of Transportation (MDOT).....he was a longtime fan of LSU football....I remember when he was about 10, he and his sister spent some time with me during the summer in Baton Rouge (they lived in Jackson, Ms)...I would take them down to see Mike the Tiger on campus and he fell in love with LSU.....and that was the beginning of his love of the LSU Tigers...he was buried today wearing a new LSU purple shirt (his choice)......

I was told and have to take it as fact that the LSU Tigers are dedicating the first LSU score in the Florida game Saturday to Mike.....it will be announced in the Pregame show and later when LSU makes it's first score...

RIP Mike.....go Tigers....
