It has been hot for sure. It is 103 here in Ruston right now. I started to go to the camp but decided that the only thing I would do there is stay inside and in the cool. I do need to go up and spray the deck with wood preservative and have plans to do that in a week or so if it does not rain. I figured the deck is about as dry as it is gonna get this ear and now would be the time to treat it. Got to get ready for this fall when it cools down and we start getting some rain.

Don't think I ever saw one that small. Shame it did not make it. Don't know how they survive in this heat, being so small.

We have tended to many small creatures through the years out here, raise them and release. The baby rabbits are my favorite.

Was 111* on my back porch today. Scared to go out the front door till late evening. Keeping the horse water trough full for the critters and birds and deer.

Couple of days ago my cousin was reading meters and came across this feller walkin' his pet. Too hot for the dogs here. This is close to Eagle Mountain Lake.
