You are correct Tracker123, I work in the oilfield. The commute is tough, but there are a lot of people in my industry that would love to be able to make it right now.

I'm in the industry as well, so I know what you mean. I have had friends and colleagues lose their jobs this past year. My son was an engineer with Chevron in Houston and was laid off recently. Hang in there, things will come back around.
Ray - haven't read Go Set a Watchman yet, but have it. That's why I re-read To Kill a Mockingbird.

Anyone read any James Lee Burke, Detective Dave Robicheaux novels? Most take place in south Louisiana. Good reading that talks about places and times I've lived.

Will do. Prepare some compost pots of some sort, place pots in a large saucer of water. Keep the water constant in there. They take a long time to sprout, so be patient. When they do sprout, they look retarded - sorry that wasn't politically correct. Anyway, once they're about 3 to 4 inches tall, put them in the ground. Once in the ground, the fronds will spread out before long.
Today we were notified that our deal went through and we will close on the sale of our home & property the latter part of December. After 34 years on this property, downsizing will take some adjustments and now we must purchase moving boxes and start packing. We will live in our 5th wheel RV until our new home is built and that will be an experience I hope we can survive. The end of this month I will hit 73, so I will be on site and supervising the construction but will leave the lifting to the construction crew. This first photo is what we are leaving and we are looking at 4 to 5 acres to build our metal home.

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 2000 + sq. ft. of living space which is a little larger than what we are leaving. The property we are looking at is currently a coastal hay field with some trees on a spring fed creek that never dries up and empties into Eagle Mountain Lake. Only 5 miles from our current home, outside the city limits of any towns and in our current county of Parker. Trying not to get too excited. Just felt like sharing.
