I would eat that in a minute, minus the cheese of course.
Yep, that's the place Bruce. The Dawg Stop.
I have seen it but haven't eaten there yet. Guess I am going to have to pick up a bottle of Tums and go check it out.
Spent over an hour on the phone with Cox including hold time and being hung up on twice. My bill was due to jump $48 next cycle. Tried to make them understand they were not my only option. Finally got the right person on the line. Lowered my bill $20 a month from current, locked in 12 months and service unchanged. I could cancel cable services, keep phone and internet, then pickup Direct tv premium package and pay $3 less a month. But to lazy to fool with it more than I did. Guess I'll fight with them next year. Randy, this post does not apply to you, since you don't have cable. But if there was ever a person who would enjoy all the news channels, you would be it. And you could get current news, instead of reading day late news. Just sayin.
You're right Danny, I have to admit. We do have cable for the high speed internet only. Got tired of dial-up on ATT buried phone line we have. Interesting about the cable installation, Cox said we could have it out where we're at if we were 1,500 ft. from an existing line. Sure enough, across the river, the folks had it. Couldn't do it along the driveway - too long. Interesting about the installation guys who came out to install it. Shot a bow and arrow across the river with string, then dragged the cable across. Then hung on the existing power line poles we have across the river. Cost me zero.
I inquired with Cox about getting ESPN and some certain news programs only. They told me I have to get a "package" which includes all types of reality programs - not going to happen, no way. Another thing I noticed when we stay at the SRA cabins at Cypress Bend, they have cable TV's with 300+ channels - but no ESPN. Don't understand why a person can't get maybe a chosen 3 - 4 channels of the ones they choose.
I don't understand that either, but in your case, you could go to the menu and block the channels you don't want. I know you would like the history, a&e, espn, nat. geo., and the food channel (we love the cooking contest shows). You could get a discount for having more than one service as well. I am with you on the so called reality shows. They are not like my real life.
I have Dish Network.....I dont like any of the new movies they show so I just got the basic package.....Have it bundled with my internet to save money. I hardly ever watch anything except the news and weather.....some gospel music, history channel, and sometimes old Andy Griffith re-runs. I spend more time on here than I do TV....made lots of friends here and learned a lot. Works for me.
