I squirrel hunt a lot and do some shredding in the woods a lot and am always running into these spiders. I have never been bitten nor know of anyone who has . Dapet, sounds like you didn't slap all of it out. At least not the bull kind.
They aren't bad but those little crab spiders will mess you up, you wont feel the bite but you will start to itch and then swell up. My hand was swollen for three days. They are the spiders with the web that looks like a triangle I see them in Sherburne a lot.
